Beginning Rock Band Camp
Ages 8 to 15
Teachers: John Holenko and Matt Masie
Put together a Rock Band here at Hungry Monk Music. This Camp is for students with 2 to 3 years of music experience and who have never attended one of our Camps previously. All instruments welcome. You will learn how to put together a band, how to learn new songs, and how to work with other musicians and make music as a group. At the end of the week each band will perform on stage with a sound system and lights.

Intermediate Rock Band Camp
Ages 8 to 15
Teachers: John Holenko and Matt Masie
Students with 3 or more years of experience, or those who have attended Hungry Monk Music Camps previously are welcome to attend. All instruments and vocal students who want to put together a band and learn as many songs in a week as they can are all welcome. We will put together bands of up to 5 members, rehearse all week long, and perform on stage with a sound system and lights at the end of the week.

Junkyard Drumming
Ages 8-15 / All skill levels welcome
Teacher: Matt Masie
Rock out on “repercussion” using spoons, rhythm bones, washboards, your own body, and other assorted recycled materials to make percussive sounds!

The Beatles/Rolling Stones Rock Band Camp
Ages 8 to 15
Teachers: John Holenko and Matt Masie
This Camp is for Intermediate level students of all instruments and those who have attended previous Hungry Monk Music Band Camps. Friends and rivals during the 1960’s, these two bands represent basis of most of the music that came afterward. We will dig into the music of both the Beatles and The Stones and learn a bunch of songs, put a band together, and have a performance at the end of the week
