Southern California native WENDY TAHARA began studying the piano at the age of seven. After receiving her B.M. in music from Indiana University, she enjoyed a busy career as a ballet accompanist for various dance companies in California’s Orange County region, including Ballet Pacifica and the University of California at Irvine. Since moving to Charleston in 1999, Ms. Tahara has played for Charleston Ballet Theatre, the Charleston Children’s Chorus, the Chamber Music Society of Charleston, and has enjoyed a number of summer sessions with Burklyn Ballet Theatre in Vermont. She currently maintains an active teaching studio at Hungry Monk Music.
